Greenfields Guesthouse Booking Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to accommodation bookings made with Greenfields Guesthouse in Alberton. By making a reservation, guests agree to the booking, payment, cancellation and guest policies outlined below.

Bookings

Bookings can be made through our Reservations Office or via the Greenfields Guesthouse website.

To confirm a booking, a 50% deposit is required. A booking is only confirmed once the required deposit has been received.

Rates

All room rates include 15% VAT and breakfast.

Lunch and dinner are available seven days a week. Guests can enjoy meals at our on-site Greenfields Vintage Restaurant or order meals to their rooms.

Additional breakfasts for visiting guests are charged separately.

Please note that prices are subject to change without prior notice.

Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in is available from 14:00 to 21:00.

Check-out is before 10:00.

Guests requiring early check-in or late check-in should make special arrangements with Greenfields Guesthouse in advance.

Cancellation Policy

If a booking is cancelled for any reason, the following cancellation terms apply:

• 7 days or less before arrival, or no-show: 100% of the total booking value will be charged, up to a maximum of three days.

• 8 to 14 days before arrival: 50% of the deposit will be forfeited.

• 15 to 30 days before arrival: 100% of the deposit will be forfeited.

In the event that a guest does not arrive on the stated arrival date, or cancels within 7 days of arrival, the full value of the booking will be due, up to a maximum of three days.

Early Departures

Departures before the booked departure date will attract full payment of the quoted room rate for the originally booked dates, up to a maximum of three additional days, in addition to the number of days the guest has already stayed.

Children’s Policy

Children aged 5 to 12 years pay 50% of the per person sharing rate.

Children aged 4 years and under stay at no charge.

Included Facilities

Greenfields Guesthouse offers the DSTV Stay Essential Hotel Package and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Guests also have access to on-site facilities, including dining at Greenfields Vintage Restaurant.

Indemnity, Liability & Guest Safety

Guests enter and use Greenfields Guesthouse, its accommodation, facilities, gardens, swimming pools, children's play areas, koi pond, parking areas, conference facilities, restaurants and all other amenities entirely at their own risk.

Greenfields Guesthouse, its owners, directors, management, employees, agents and contractors shall not be liable for any loss, theft, damage, injury, accident, illness, death, delay, inconvenience or expenses suffered by any guest, visitor or third party while on the premises, except where liability cannot legally be excluded under applicable South African law.

Guests are responsible for the safekeeping of their personal belongings, valuables, vehicles and property during their stay. Greenfields Guesthouse accepts no responsibility for loss of or damage to personal property, including items left in guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, conference facilities, gardens or vehicles.

The swimming pools, children's play areas, gardens, koi pond and all recreational facilities are used entirely at the guest's own risk. Parents, guardians and responsible adults are required to supervise children at all times while on the property. Greenfields Guesthouse accepts no responsibility for any injury, accident, loss or damage arising from the use of these facilities.

Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless Greenfields Guesthouse, its owners, management and staff against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs or expenses arising from:

• Damage caused by the guest, their visitors or invitees to Greenfields Guesthouse property;

• Injury caused by the negligence, misconduct or actions of the guest, their visitors or invitees;

• Loss or damage resulting from the guest's actions, omissions or failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions;

• Claims arising from the conduct of guests, visitors or invitees associated with the booking.

Greenfields Guesthouse reserves the right to recover the cost of repairing, replacing or cleaning any property damaged by a guest during their stay.

Guests are expected to use all facilities responsibly and in accordance with any safety instructions provided by management or displayed on the property.

Force Majeure

Greenfields Guesthouse shall not be liable for any failure or delay in providing accommodation, services or facilities due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, severe weather, power outages, water interruptions, pandemics, government regulations, strikes, labour disputes, civil unrest or any other unforeseen event.

Right of Admission Reserved

Greenfields Guesthouse reserves the right of admission and may refuse accommodation, terminate a stay, or request guests and visitors to leave the premises where their behaviour is unlawful, disruptive, abusive, threatening, intoxicated, dangerous, or likely to negatively affect the safety, comfort, wellbeing or enjoyment of other guests, staff or property.
